Eva Segelov, MBBS-PhD-FRACP
Prof. Segelov currently serves as the Director of the Department of Clinical Research at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bern, Switzerland. Her educational journey began at the University of Sydney, where she pursued undergraduate medicine and later specialized in Medical Oncology, earning her Ph.D. focused on “Cellular Mechanisms of Resistance to cisplatin.” Throughout her career, Prof. Segelov has held various roles as a Clinical Academic, including Director of Medical Student Education and Lab Head of her own group. She is actively involved in organizations like the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and the Australasian GastroIntestinal Trials Group. Her career has been diverse, reflecting her changing positions and interests, with a current focus on global oncology, equity, and diversity in clinical trials.
Prof. Segelov’s involvement with GLOW is driven by her admiration for the group’s research output, inclusiveness, and peer support, aiming to contribute to its continued success.
