Diah Martina, MD-PhD
Dr. Martina is a palliative care physician at the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Indonesia, hails from Indonesia, and currently resides in Jakarta. With a specialization in Internal Medicine and a comprehensive educational background, including a recent PhD candidacy focused on advance care planning in Asia and Indonesia, she has received multiple scholarships and grants for her studies. Throughout her academic journey, she conducted research and published extensively on topics related to serious illness communication and medical decision-making. Post-graduation, she has returned to Indonesia and is actively involved in part-time roles within private hospitals, NGOs, and educational initiatives, all aimed at advancing palliative care services. Her primary interests lie in palliative care, serious illness communication, and capacity building in low- and middle-income countries.
Dr. Martina’s participation in GLOW is driven by her desire to learn from peers and foster collaboration opportunities among oncologists in Indonesia, contributing to the advancement of the field.
